Bruce C. E. Fleming Part 1 | I learned how to let the Bible speak!

Episode Summary

In my early years as a speaker in Youth Ministry I developed the bad habit of picking my ILLUSTRATIONS FIRST and burying the message of the passages that were assigned to me to speak on! It took me a year and a half in seminary to learn how to let the passage speak for itself! At the Tru316 Foundation are very careful to let God communicate to us through word studies and through analysis of the literary patterns that are present in the 7 key passages on women and men related to Genesis 3:16.

Episode Notes

In my early years as a speaker in Youth Ministry I developed the bad habit of picking my ILLUSTRATIONS FIRST and burying the message of the passages that were assigned to me to speak on! It took me a year and a half in seminary to learn how to let the passage speak for itself! At the Tru316 Foundation we take great care to let God speak to us through word studies and through analysis of the literary patterns that are present in the 7 key passages on women and men related to Genesis 3:16.

I had a handful of illustrations I  always used. But the Bible speaks to us about more than that! I'm afraid many others in ministry haven't carefully let the original 11 Hebrew words in Genesis 3:16 speak to us. What my wife clearly revealed in her research on Genesis 2-3 we carefully included in two of our books (see Tru316.com/trubooks),

  1. Man and Woman in Biblical Unity: Theology from Genesis 2-3 by Dr. Joy Fleming (available as a free audiobook from the top section of Tru316.com, and as an eBook on Amazon)
  2. The Book of Eden, Genesis 2-3 by Bruce C. E. Fleming (available as a hard copy and an eBook from Amazon and as an audiobook on Audible)
